>Kareena Kapoor and her elder sister Karisma Kapoor will reportedly appear on the second season of Salman Khan’s television show ‘Dus Ka Dum’. Rumour has been abuzz that Salman Khan is not using his influence to rope in celebrities from the film industry for the game show this year because of his slashed remuneration. So, the onus has been solely on Sony television to approach the celebs and get them for the show. Until recently the channel had not been able to rope in any celebs even after approaching a number of them. A recent report said the channel had approached Sonam Kapoor , Anil Kapoor , Sanjay Dutt and wife, Ajay Devgan and Kajol , but none of the celebs were free to appear on the show.

But now, the Kapoor sisters are almost confirmed to be the special guests. Reports say the two sisters will show their ‘dum’ in the very first episode of the show this season, which is set to kick off on May 25, Monday. Sources say the Kapoor sisters are very fond of Salman. Kareena, who plays his love interest in Main Aur Mrs Khanna , is particularly eager to be on Salman’s show.

Season one of Dus Ka Dum proved to be an absolute hit with the remarkable anchor, Salman Khan. Although Salman hosted a game show for the first time, he definitely proved to be versatile once again. Salman possessed all the factors an incredible host should have. The actor was very welcoming, funny, witty, and very down-to-earth, which just made the game show worth your time. Celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Rakhi Sawant along with cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh graced the first season of Dus Ka Dum.

Salman’s fans are eagerly waiting for the third season of Jhalak Dikhla Ja to finish as Dus Ka Dum’s season two will start shortly after. Buzz has it that the first celebrity guests on this much awaited show will be none other than the Kapoor sisters, Lolo (Karishma) and Bebo (Kareena). Furthermore, rumours also had it that Salman had simply refused to have the sisters on the show. However, a close source revealed that the sisters will be on the show despite their commitments.

Season two does seem way more promising than season one. We can’t wait to see Salman back on TV with the very entertaining show, Dus Ka Dum!

>I am back with Dus Ka Dum as audience love it: Salman

Mumbai: Actor Salman Khan on Thursday said that he is back on small screen as host of the second season of game show Dus ka Dum because the audience has loved it.

“I am my usual self on the show. I interacting with the audience just like I talk with my fans. Just because you saw it on television, it looked very novel,” Salman told reporters
at launch of Sony television’s new slate of programming beginning next week.

He said he was normally in a good mood whenever he is with fans. “But, my mood depends on you (media). Celebrities are always in a catch-22 situation. You keep writing false stories and when there is no reaction, the falsehood continues. If you react, more will be written,” Salman said.

The filmstar who returned home yesterday after completing a film shoot in London said he was appalled to read speculative stories on how he had ‘harrassed’ the channel
because his price for the show’s second season, has been slashed.

“I was given big money in the first season. But, now it is recession time. The reduction in my fees for the second stint is not as much as it is being reported,” he said.

Salman said Sony TV will be responsible for inviting celebrity guests on the show. He said, “the reason why Sony is taking care of the celebrities is that I have been left with a few friends in the industry. There are a few left and I will try to get them on the show.”

>Will ‘Dus Ka Dum’ happen???

There he goes again!!! Salman Khan the anchor as well the main guy behind the success of the reality show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ has set off confusion in the minds of the makers of the reality program.

The macho homme of Bollywood had previously shot the promos of this reality game show but before the episodes could be shot the actor left to UK to complete the remaining of ‘Veer’. Salman who sports a very different look for ‘Veer’ is busier than ever.

Reports suggest that Sallu’s PR has informed the makers of ‘Dus Ka Dum’ to stay calm as the actor will be flying back to India soon for starting to shoot for ‘Dus Ka Dum’. He is tentatively expected back for shooting the show around the May 20th.

The actor who became quite popular as a game show host among the people is being eagerly awaited by the people more that ever to entertain them and let the show go on!!

Salman Khan is a man who is a man of his word so the makers of ‘Dus Ka Dum’ can rest assured.

>A different ball game

>With Salman Khan refusing to pull strings to bring in fellow actors for the second season of 10 ka Dum, a popular game show that he hosts on Sony, the channel is having a tough time roping in celebrities on their own.

A source said, “The makers have approached actors like Ajay Devgan and Kajol, Sanjay Dutt with wife Manyata, Bipasha Basu, Mallika Sherawat, Shilpa Shetty, Anil Kapoor and Sonam to appear as guests on 10 Ka Dum, however they still have not got confirmations from any of them.”

In the last season, many of the stars like, Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone, Govinda-David Dhawan had willingly agreed to be part of the show because of the good relations they shared with Salman. However, with the actor no longer being in the picture, they all want to be paid to make an appearance. The source elaborated, “The norm is that celebs don’t charge the channel for making an appearance.

They also don’t take the money they win in the game show back home — they always donate it to a charitable organisation. But this time round, none of the actors are interested in making an appearance for free. They are quoting a high sum, between Rs 30 to 40 lakh.

However, the budget of the show doesn’t permit this. So, now the channel has approached Sohail Khan, Salman’s brother to put in a word to the actors. As a backup plan, they have also approached a lot of small-time actors, who will be more than willing to share the stage with Salman free of cost.”

Danish Khan, the Marketing head of Sony said, “We’ve approached a lot of celebs not just from the film industry but all walks of life. However, as of now, we have no confirmations and are still waiting for the final line-up of guests.”

When we asked Danish why it was taking time to announce the stars to be featured in the show, he cleverly avoided talking about the remuneration. He said, “It is not easy for any star to agree to make an appearance on TV as a lot of factors like their shooting dates are to be considered.”

Given the fact that the show is scheduled to go on air by May 25, we hope the channel does get their act together.

>Salman Khan giving the producers of 10 Ka Dum sleepless nights

Filed under: News / Info — snadeemshaikh @ 3:12 pm

A moody Salman Khan has been giving the producers of 10 Ka Dum (a TV show he hosts) sleepless nights. According to sources in Big Synergy (who’s producing the show), the actor was meant to complete shooting for four episodes of the second season of the show, something he hasn’t done yet.”

A source reveals, “The channel has already begun promotional ads and outdoor hoardings have been put up. The show is slated to air from May 30.”

No show

The source adds. “Salman was to begin shooting last week but he never showed up. The makers could barely finish shooting two promos with him. The producers now have the actor’s dates (after May 22) but it still isn’t clear if he will show up. The actor’s dates were a nagging issue even last year. He didn’t turn up for most of his shoots and eventually, the company had to shoot with his friends a lot more than with normal contestants.”

Late nights again

A spokesperson for Big Synergy, who did not wish to be named says, “It is true that Salman has not shot a single minute of the show yet. We all have been panicking. It does look like he will make us shoot late nights like he did last year.”

>Salman’s new guests

Filed under: News / Info — snadeemshaikh @ 3:08 pm

This time around when Salman Khan starts shooting for his game show Dus Ka Dum, his special guests will be his avid fans.

“In the first season we got big stars like Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Rani Mukerji and others to come on to the sets,” says a unit member. Obviously for this round, the show organisers don’t want to repeat the guest list. So they’re scouting for Sallu fans to be special guests this time. And from what we hear, Slumdog Millionaire-star Azharuddin (a self-confessed Salman follower) could be one of the first guests to be in the hot seat.
